Day 1 - Nairobi – Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel, Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya! Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. You will be met by your safari director with a good warm welcome cup of coffee who will transfer you to Emara Ole Sereni Hotel. Luxury and comfort are what describes Emara Ole- Sereni. Day 2: Nairobi City Tour– Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel, Nairobi

Today after a relaxed breakfast, your safari director will pick you at 10.00 a.m. and take you on a Nairobi City Tour. Nairobi is the only town in East Africa that has a National Park within the City.  Enjoy the morning visit to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. David Sheldrick is a wildlife trust born from a family that had passion for Kenya and its wilderness. It is one of the pioneers’ organizations in conservations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. It works to protect elephants and is one of the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation programs in the world. During the visit, you will learn and see the baby elephants being fed, bathed, playing. It is such an intimate observation that will leave you feeling relaxed and connected with nature. You might even feel the need to adopt an elephant. 

At 12:30 p.m. enjoy afternoon lunch at Giraffe Centre where you get close contact with the giraffe, the world’s tallest species. You will also get the opportunity to feed them – and a rewarding kiss from the tallest species.  Lunch will be served at the famous Utamaduni Restaurant at Bomas of Kenya. The first of its kind in Kenya the Utamaduni Restaurant of Bomas of Kenya serves delectable meals that reflect Kenya's traditional cultures' diversity. Here, you can eat food inspired by Kenya's diverse culture meals such as mukimo, and muthokoi and other delicacies from different regions of Kenya. The pride of Utamaduni Restaurant is the diversity of its food.

After lunch, enjoy the cultural tour of the cultural huts of the various tribes. Here you will learn about the preservation of the rich Kenyan diverse tribal groups and their cultures. Later, you will be able to join in the cultural performances by several groups. The dances present the beauty of the Kenyan diversity of music in dance traditions. The delightful sounds and movements will get you on your feet to the sound of the percussion, string and wind instruments in the energetic African dances.  Your tour director will be on standby for those wanting to experience the nightlife of Nairobi.

Day 3: Nairobi -Maasai Mara National Park, Ilkeliani Tented Camp

This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred by 4 X 4 jeep to the Maasai Mara National Park. The Maasai Mara is the home of the big 5. Maasai Mara Game Reserve is widely regarded to be the cradle of humankind as well as the Africa's Greatest Wildlife Reserve and was voted in 2007 as the 8th wonder of the world. It has also been voted among the best safari destinations in Africa. You will experience your first game drive enroute to the lodge where you will be served lunch, checked in and have enough time to rest and enjoy the tranquility of the reserve. Your safari director will take you for an evening game drive in search of wildlife like buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs.

Dinner and overnight at Ilkeliani Tented camp. Ilkeliani lies in the heart of the renowned Maasai Mara. It is a beautiful oasis. The camp includes chic new tented cabins, a variety of viewing decks, and a multitude of alluring activities. It overlooks plains teeming with animals.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Park, Ilkeliani Tented Camp

Morning starts early with a hot air balloon safari. Please carry a warm jacket and comfortable shoes for this ride. After a cup of coffee, you will be transferred to the hot air balloon ride point.  The ultimate safari experience is to soar far over the Masai Mara. A never-ending thrilling mixture of riverine forests, vast savannahs, towering escarpments, and rough rivers make up the scene below.

Flying in a hot air over the Masai Mara will give you a unique perspective of the plethora of species that live there, all against the backdrop of a gorgeous sunrise. There is really nothing quite like it; the experience is priceless, and the vista is unmatched. A bush breakfast will be served after the excursion. Afterwards, enjoy afternoon at the camp and an evening game drive. Dinner will be served at the camp. Share the days’ experiences with your fellow travelers around the campfire.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Park, Ilkeliani Tented Camp

Today, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Armed with packed lunch boxes, we set out in search for wildebeest migration. The wildebeest migration is one of the wonders of Maasai Mara and natural spectacles of the world. The wildebeests together with other large numbers of animals like, Zebra, Gazelles, and Impalas cross the great Maasai Mara to the Serengeti in Tanzania. It is a wonder to behold. The crossing is the climax of your safari but excites a mixed range of emotions, anticipation, inspiration, excitement as well as heartache.

Later in the evening visit to the Maasai village with game drive. Maasai village visits are the most memorable ‘to do things’ in any safari. The village is well preserved by the Maasai community; you will experience their dance and culture, their food, and learn all about their hunting and animal care habits. Dance with them and buy their artefacts as souvenirs.

Day 6: Maasai Mara - Zanzibar– Pongwe Beach Hotel.

This morning, enjoy an early breakfast after which you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi and outbound connection to Zanzibar Island, of Tanzania. With its interesting history, amazing scenery, mesmerizing sunsets, and stunning beaches, Zanzibar offers the best possible taste of the Indian Ocean. All these features are surrounded by the aroma of exotic spices. Zanzibar is the ideal location to indulge in if you are looking and yearning for a serene yet energetic safari. 

You will be staying by Pongwe Beach. Pongwe Beach is among the most picturesque on the island, with smooth white sand, coconut trees lining the shore, some of which have hammocks. It is perfect perfection.  Pongwe Beach Hotel stands on a lovely Island of Zanzibar. It is the ideal vacation sport with beach fluffy sand, clear waters and shady palm trees. The pride of Pongwe is the peaceful environment that is stress free with magnificent setting with infinity pool. Upon arrival, enjoy the refreshments of the hotel as you settle in.

Day 7 Pongwe Beach Hotel, Zanzibar – Excursion – Spice Tour Plantation

Zanzibar boasts of history for its spicy plantations. Spice farming extends back years ago; the island is famous for exports of spices like vanilla, cardamom, cloves. Today after breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up in air-conditioned tour vans for a day tour of the vibrant spice plantation. You will pay a visit to a local spice plantation where you will learn firsthand how the spice is grown and used both in drinks and food. You will be required to wear comfortable shoes for this adventure as you will walk through the farms; see how the workers tend to the spice cultivation. You will also be able to taste and purchase some to take home. This will be a half day trip. Lunch will be served while on the excursion. This afternoon, enjoy a relaxed moment at the hotel.

Day 8, Pongwe Beach Hotel, Zanzibar – Excursion – Stone Town Tour

Today, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Later on, the safari director will pick you for a walking tour of Stone Town. An ancient town that is a renowned world heritage site. You will find the market colorful. You will need your comfortable walking shoes for the 3-hour walk. 

Explore Stone Town's meandering alleyways and look for the footprints of explorers, slaves, and sultans. Your tour guide will inform you of the historical occurrences that molded Zanzibar while taking you to the locations where they took place, including the former Slave Market, Anglican Cathedral, House of Wonders, and Sultans' Palace. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the turtle sanctuary where you will get to swim with the turtles. With the assistance of a guide, you can either spend time in the water with the turtles throughout your stay or feed them seaweed. Additionally, you can use a snorkeling mask to go underwater and observe them in their native habitat. The Sanctuary is home to a variety of fish and endangered sea turtles. The aquarium was formed naturally as millions of waves crashing against the shore eroded away the coral bedrock. The water's depth fluctuates with the tides, giving its occupants a natural environment.

Later in the day, you will have the pleasure of feasting at the Rock Restaurant, which promises "an experience for all your senses." This unique eatery is situated amidst the sea and can only be accessed by boat. Once there, you will be treated to a tranquil atmosphere and mouth-watering seafood. If you are lucky enough to visit during high tide, you'll be able to witness the waves crashing against the windows, making for an even more unforgettable experience.

Day 9: Pongwe Beach Hotel, Zanzibar – Hotel activities/Souvenir shopping

After a relaxed breakfast, the safari director will collect you for your own pleasure for shopping. You will have the opportunity to do last-minute shopping; for that exquisitely carved teakwood chest or a supply of strongly fragrant pomanders, mementos of your stay in what many claim is an earthly outpost of heaven. Later in the evening, set out on a sunset show cruise. The cruise is the ultimate end of the safari. You can enjoy peace on a private cruise while you absorb the magnificent sunset of Zanzibar. You will be spoiled with fried calamari, prawns, crispy cassava and other Swahili cuisine. All this experience is at the backdrop of Swahili traditional live music. Enjoy the explosion of color, and shapes – a perfect end to a perfect day. 

Day 10: Zanzibar – Departure 

According to your time of departure, enjoy breakfast and a last glance of the white beach. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
